Shannon White's 2015 Will Do List!

This is my year to focus on one word: “ME”
1. NO more stopping and starting All commitments are 100%
2. Starting Jan 1 2015 T25 with Shawn T and I will complete the 60 day program.
3. Jan 4th 2015, I have made a full commitment to Yvonne’s 60 day Back in your Jeans challenge group.
4. NO more focusing on the scale, rather focusing on inches lost and how I feel in my clothes and body!
5. I would like to be a Beachbody coach again, perhaps fall of 2015 or else 2016.
6. Lower my golf handicap.
7. Learn to Wake Surf.
8. Ride my Bike more!!!

1. One of my Will Do goals from 2014 was to be true to myself if I were to be in another relationship and not forget about the fitness goals that were important to me, and I DID. SO this year, I have made a promise to myself to really focus on what’s important to me and my body, but also learn to enjoy special moments without guilt.
2. To complete my CFP course Wealth Management and Estate Planning.
3. I want to live in the same city as Andrew.
4. Love myself for my beauty inside and out.
5. I honestly don’t know where my career is going and what direction it’s taking right now.
All I wish for is that I’m happy no matter what I’m doing.

The greatest things in life start with "Change"

I am kicking off my traditional
New Year project with just that --Change!

For the previous 5 years I have kicked off my adventure of the upcoming New Year by creating a list of "Will Do's"! Focusing on my personal, career and financial goals. My "Will Do" lists were an amazing tool to keep me on task and having a direction to steer my ship for years but now.....

My life has taken an amazing turn and is forever evolving with new opportunities and wonderful challenges. Needless to say my carefully crafted "Will Do List" was unable to keep up with the new ideas and inspirations so it was shelved very early into the year. As we entered into the final couple months of this year my mind out of habit began to think about creating my new "Will Do List" but my heart wasn't into it and I knew it was time for something new but WHAT?

Ironically within days of my light bulb moment I received a message from one of my girlfriends letting me know that she would not be participating this upcoming years "Will Do List" but instead she had been introduced to One Word 365. Needless to say having hit my own roadblock and eager to ensure that I did have some sense of direction for the upcoming year I was all over that "google" and checking it out.

My first instinct was "WHAT!! ONE FREAKING WORD! How is that possible?!"

The weight and the power of that one word- Oh my! Then the inquisitive introvert in me took over and surprise, surprise if I didn't realize I had already been living my one word "YES".  At the beginning stages of my new journey I was scared and living outside of my comfort zone everyday. I made the commitment to myself that if any opportunity provided itself and it aligned with my ultimate goal my answer would always be "YES"! Whatever hurdle I needed to get over after that was mine to figure out. Who knew that one word and in my case and a very little word could make such a HUGE impact and live up to the weight!

Insert this upcoming year and the responsibility of picking my new word to match the expectations I have of this upcoming year. I knew needed a big word with lot's of excitement and open to opportunities...... I have mediated and stewed over this word for probably 2 months-- hey this is a big deal I am giving a year of my life to this word! Then the light bulb hit again and I realized my word has been sitting here this whole time just waiting for me to see it......

2015 My Year of Adventure!

I can not wait for the opportunities that word is going to give me the courage to do and accomplish!

Nancy Leggett's Will Do for 2014!

Mandy Emery's Will Do for 2014

Mandy’s Will-Do for 2014

My number one goal for 2014 is deceptively difficult - it sounds so simple, but I know that it will be a real challenge for me.  What I’m setting out to do is to control my temper and stop shouting - especially at my kids.  I don’t mean to sound like I’m a crazy person that is always yelling and carrying on - but I have those all-to-common moments where my chest gets tight, my blood pressure rises and I get so frustrated that I could scream - and too often I do!  And then I get even more frustrated - at myself.  After YEARS - and I mean years - of nearly daily yoga practice, how can I still lose my cool like that?  So my biggest goal for this year is to take all that I am ON my mat - flexible, strong, consistent, temperate - and take it OFF my mat and into my real life.  I found a great quote the other day - “Advancing in your yoga practice means that you can continue doing basic things - like breathing deeply, observing your entire body, and quieting your inner narrator - in increasingly difficult situations (on and off your mat)”.  That pretty much sums it up.
That’s the big goal - in fewer words, it is to make my LIFE my practice, to commit to living as fully as I can in the moment, and to prioritize the quality of my actions over the quantity of them (the to-do list isn’t likely to go anywhere...).

My other goals for the year are as follows:
-  continue to make one-on-one time with Chris a priority (date nights, maybe even a weekend away sans kids, etc)
-  Put my best efforts forward with my new job
-  continue with yoga each morning before work - I’m currently at a steady 30-45minutes, I’d like to increase that to 45-60minutes if possible.  Once weekly this will be a 6am Bikram yoga class (90min).  My goal posture to master for this year is peacock (a forearm balancing inversion) AWAY from wall support!
-  continue running avg 3d/week - I’ve joined the Marathon Club again and my #1 goal race is the Waterton-Glacier Relay in June.  I’m sure I’ll do a number of smaller events as well.
-  2013 photo book finished by the end of Feb 2014
-  finally finish Sebastian’s baby book (he’s 26mo!! LOL)
-  One visit to Kelowna with kids
-  One trip to Ontario with kids if possible
-  At least 3x camping overnights this summer
-  At least 2x ski weekends this winter
-  Sober February as in 2013

Pam Kadach's Will Do 2014!

My 2014 “Will Do” List

Personal:

First and foremost I will stop listening to the voice in my head that always tells me it is okay to settle for “good enough”. It’s time for me to be my biggest fan and to do that means to push myself out of my comfort zone and know that even if I fail; I failed by trying something.

I will place a higher priority of personal growth through reading more. Knowledge is power.
I will make more time for the things I love to do (primarily scrap booking and card making)

Health & Fitness:

I will continue to value my “me” time by training at SVPT with my trainer and taking advantage of the awesome small group training classes available there. I will continue to embrace what I learn there.
I will put myself in challenge groups to help push me out of my comfort zone fitness wise and to learn just how hard I truly can work with my body.
I will continue moving forward in learning how to nourish my body. I strive to have relationships with people, not food.

I will place a higher emphasis on yoga for both the physical and mental benefits it brings me.

Career:

I will apply myself more at my job. I will move past my grief and be a better leader at work in Chris’ absence. I will take pride in helping keep his dream alive. I will be a better team player.
This is the year I will take the time to research career options for my future and come up with a firm plan for furthering my education.

Financial:

I will work at curbing impulse shopping. Even if I can afford it, I don’t always need it. Pause before purchasing.
I will continue to utilize my TFSA account by maximizing the yearly contributions. I will continue to build our nest egg. It is important to me that our retirement is secure. However it is equally important for me to learn the balance of saving for the future but living in the now.
